Genealogy: Abd al-Rahman ibn Hisham ibn al-Mughira ibn Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Muzoum Yaqeez ibn Marah. His mother was Fatimah bint Al-Waleed bin Al-Mughaira bin Abdullah bin Umar bin Muzoum.

Abd al-Rahman's surname was Abu Muhammad, he was 10 years old at the time of the Prophet's death, his father Harith died in 18 Hijri in the plague of Ummawas, the country of Syria, his wife Fatima bint al-Waleed b. Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) married Al-Mughira, who was the mother of Abd al-Rahman Ibn al-Harith.

Nurtured by Hazrat Umar: Abd al-Rahman was under the tutelage of Umar. According to tradition, he had a huge house in Madinah. Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith, may God bless him and grant him peace, died during the caliphate of Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan, may God be pleased with him.

He was a noble, generous and honorable man. He was with Aisha Siddiqa (RA) in the Battle of Jamal. I would have had ten sons, each of whom would have been like Abd al-Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hisham (may Allah have mercy on him).

It is narrated from Abi Bakr bin Uthman al-Maghzoumi, who was from the family of Yarbu, that the name of Abd al-Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hisham, may God have mercy on him, was Ibrahim, when Hazrat Umar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, during his vilayah, decided that the names of the people They are in the name of the prophets, so they changed their names, so they came to Umar bin Al-Khattab, he changed his name to Abdul Rahman, may God bless him and grant him peace, and this name remained until today.

Relationship with other Companions: Then Muhammad Akbar was born to Abd al-Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hisham, may God bless him and grant him peace, who did not have any descendants, he had his surname from him, and Abu Bakr, who was called the monk of Quraysh. Umar, Uthman, Akrama, Khalid, Muhammad Asghar, and Hantama, who had children from Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr bin Al-Awam, may God be pleased with them, and Umm Hajain, Umm Hakeem, and Sauda, Ramla, the mother of all of them, Fakhta bint Anba bin Suhail bin Amr bin. Abd Shams bin Abdud bin Nazar bin Malik bin Hasl bin Amir bin Lui.

Ayyash bin Abd al-Rahman, Abdullah who had no issue and Abu Salama who died in childhood without leaving any issue, Harith who died without issue, Asma, Aisha who was married by Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan, Umm. Saeed, Umm Kulthum and Umm al-Zubayr, the mother of all of them was Umm al-Hasan bint al-Zubayr bin al-Awam bin Khuwaylid bin Asad bin Abd al-Uzza bin Qusay, Umm al-Hasan's mother was Asma bint Abi Bakr al-Sadiq (RA).

Mugheera bin Abdul Rahman and Ufaa, the Zaynab and Waritha, who had children from Abdullah bin Zubair, may Allah be pleased with them, Abdullah bin Zubair, may Allah be pleased with them, married her after her sister (the death of Hantama), and Fatimah, the Hafsa of them all. His mother was Saadi bint Awf bin Al-Khajr bin Shan bin Abi Harithah bin Murrah bin Nishiya bin Ghaiz bin Murrah.

Waleed bin Abd al-Rahman, Abu Saeed and Umm Salama, whom Saeed bin Al-Aas bin Saeed bin Al-Aas married, and the mother of all of them was Umm Rasan bint Al-Harith bin Abdullah bin Al-Husayn Dhu al-Ghasa (the Angry) bin Yazid bin Shaddad bin Kanan bin Salama.
